Landover Hills has taken many steps to create a greener and more sustainable community. It was one of the first counties in Maryland to implement the pet waste stations, and has recently created a community rain garden to help with stormwater runoff. The town also proudly boasts an electric vehicle charging station, nine solar panels on the front and roof of town hall, LED lighting in the town hall building and the Veteran's Memorial, and 10 inches of blown-in insulation on the ceiling throughout the town hall.
